I like to style my hair in two braids and I would do it everyday if I didn't think that it was too extreme ( I also wonder if it is good for my hair to be braided every day)... My guy friends seem to think that braids aren't sexy, but like I care! Anyway, what is everyone else's favorite style to have their hair in?

I have always had short hair to my neck and shoulders.I just straighten it out and my bangs just sit there.I really don't part my hair anyway, unless I am not in the mood for bangs, then I part it to my left side with a clip.

I know for a fact that braids are good for the hair,it helps the hair grow faster, and less split ends.
If you wanna braid your hair everyday then braid it.I think it's cute.

My 2nd ex-husband used to tell me that his ex-girlfirends mother claimed it was bad to braid your hair. But I personally think she was full o' shite! Everyone has most likely seen their grandmothers or great-grandmothers with their hair braided and up into a bun. I figure if it was good enough for them, then there has to be a good reason they wore it that way. Thats just me but thats my logic.

Speaking of hair styles! I think it is a tragedy that women didn't pass down to my generation how to do all of the neat things that they did in the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's. I would love to know how to do finger waves and updos with curls..... I even asked my grandmother to teach me, because I saw photos of her when she was younger, and she said it has been so long that she can't remember. LAME! Shame on them! While I'm at it... how about things like sewing and cooking, etc. I'm having to teach myself things that were common knowledge less than 50 years ago.

my mom has had the same hairstyle since she was a girl. every night she pins it up with bobby pins and then wraps a headrag over it, ties it up (think Mammy in gone with the wind) and goes to bed. every single night. someone once suggested that she get a perm, so she did, and then said it was so much easier to make pin curls with the perm. I give up.
and I wore french braids until I was 8 and had my first hair cut. to make pin curls, just take a little bit of hair with your left hand, put your right forefinger on your scalp where you want the curl, and wrap the hair around it with your left hand. holding the curl flat with your left hand, take out your right forefinger, pick up a bobby pin and put it in to secure the curl. sometimes, mom makes a criscross by using another pin. holds it better. I didn't know that this was a lost art, but maybe so.

Long, straight, gleaming and glossy. no fringes, clips, ties, bows, waves, curls or anything else. Remember Morticia Addam's hair? Like that.
I've got my hair grown to the very base of my back, heading rapidly toward thigh length. Sometimes I dye the lower half in a gradient from a bloody red-purple back to my own colour.

yeah i reall ylike braiding my hair! I do give myself a break and sometimes I will just have two little ponytails in the front with the rest of my hair down too... I used to dye my hair all sorts of colors, blue being my favorite and then bluegreen being my second favorite, but i really like the simple black now.

I like my mohawk, and if I miss my old long hair I can wear one of my work wigs...I liked my old dreadlocks too, but so far the hawk is very comfortable and lazy. Just wearing the wigs for job hunting reminds me how annoying long hair can be.
