OK, so I know we've talked about this before, but I guess I didn't pay attention b/c I wasn't getting married. I've got the dress, know where to get the corset, but I need suggestions on invitations, jewelry, shoes, veil/hair accessories, groom's outfit, etc etc etc. So, post your links! Any recent brides who would like to share their tips would be great. I'm totally clueless, of course.

My wedding was not goth per se (well, see my profile for the pictures of my dress and make up your own mind about that!), but I managed to get my mum-in-law to make the invitations black with a silver celtic knot in the middle. Our favour to guests was a mix CD of music we liked - including some haunting piano music and Jill Tracy. :) Also, we both carried a single long stem red rose instead of a bouquet, and we decorated the table at the registry office with a lovely black wrought iron candle holder. We went for simplicity, but that worked for us.

All in all just do stuff that makes sense for you as a couple and regardless of how non-traditional it may seem to your friends and family, they will love it because it suits the two of you.

    Best of luck!

Congratulations to you and your lucky man! Very exciting times.

If you're going for white, Fluevog has his wedding section, if you haven't looked:

Otherwise it's a matter of putting together an outfit that suits you the best. Have you always wanted to buy a certain pair of shoes or certain jewelry and never did because they were maybe too elaborate so you never thought you'd wear them? (or high price) Then go for them!

AWESOME call on the Fluevogs. I was going to go barefoot on the beach, but WHY do that when I can wear vogs? My man may "need" a pair, too.

For a goth bride or a traditional bride, the rules are the same: this is the last time in your life you will be able to boss everybody around and to get exactly what you want. So let's get on with the rules: 1. Never back up in a train. 2. We're really only doing this for the pictures. and 3. If you and your man love each other and know it's right, nothing else matters anyway.

So do exactly what you want, Sixx, whatever speaks to your heart. My cousin Stacey made all of her guests dress in black also, and my traditional Southern family got over it!

Congrats on the good news! I hope you guys have lots of fun putting every detail together. About your questions...
What about using a mini top hat with a tiny veil and blush? That would be lovely, but I must say I love top hats. Maybe they are not your cup of tea... Kambriel has beautiful veils. I particularly love this one:

If you are getting married in summer, I'd use a nice pair of sandals better than shoes. You can show your toe nails painted in black too.
I love the black and silver invitations idea, and the red roses. A bouquet of red roses would be lovely too.
For jewelry, I'd use anything with black or red beads. A choker and earrings probably. O maybe you can create contrast with white pearls if your outfit is black.
No clue about what your man could wear. Check this page, they have a lot of stuff for men too:

I posted my dress in the photos section. I know, I know, it's not black. lol. I'm planning on going to Dark Garden (SF) to see about wearing a corset over it. I'm hoping a black one might look good over it, I'm not sure.

It's a vintage gunne sax..kinda hippy-ish, romantic, but also kinda victorian gibson girl civil war looking given the accessories. I don't know what I want to accessorize it with....

Edward Gorey invites and announcements would be great, because John and I are goth but we both LOVe to laugh, we love dark humor.

That's a great dress, I can imagine black lacy underbust edwardian with that one. If you want lace to stand out, I got one from Dark Garden that was a silvery grey with gorgeous lace over it. Allows you to have that monotone but rich look.

You can kinda see, this is the only photograph I have currently.

A black choker would also be a nice accessory.

I love that dress! I used to collect Jessica McClintock , I think I actually had that dress. I like it for a gothic beach wedding. If you'd like to keep your goth additions in concert with the qualities of the dress, ie floaty, soft, I have a couple of suggestions.
First, get a waistband, not a corset. a ribbon sash, a quilted shaped and stiffened belt that can come up under the bust like a corset would, something like that. then find some gothy colored lace, like a silver gray or black or whatever you like, and put a row of dark lace right on top of the white lace, but not on the hem. for the skirt, you could look for some spider webby gossamer fabric to make another skirt layer over the cotton one, and put dark ribbon on top of the skirt ruffles. this will keep everything floaty but anchored, I think. for a headpiece, I like the ones at Kambriel, the really sheer waist length ones. or, for a change of pace and a nod to the beach, get some dark silk flowers, or something like in your bouquet and put them on the crown of your head, like where a headband would go but farther back, and a layer of floaty something under them. or a chiffon cape with a hood, as sheer as a beach coverup. Now I want to go out and find another copy of that dress and try this and see. I bet it would look incredible.
