does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to repair pvc clothing? i wore a new pvc skirt recently and it got a small tear (~2.5") in the back. it ripped along the seam next to the zipper. the pvc is lined with black fabric (appears to be nylon or something similar). i'd like to do something to fix and conceal the tear and keep it from ripping further.
i was thinking of gluing it down with barge cement or E6000 craft glue. does anyone know if this would work? i have heard that barge cement might dissolve the pvc, due to the solvents in it. anyone know for sure?

Re: repairing pvc fabric
Tue, November 28, 2006 - 4:56 PMThere used to be a PVC repair kit for car interiors (to repair that rich corinthian leather when it ripped), with multiple colors you could mix to try to match your seat fabric. Automotive stores might still carry something like that. -

You'll have a lot more luck searching for "Leather Repair" or "Vinyl Repair" than "PVC Repair"
